Returns, Refunds & Cancellations Policy
At Oak Doors Direct, we want you to be confident in your purchase. This policy explains your rights and how we handle returns, refunds, and cancellations.
Damaged or Faulty Items
Please inspect your order upon delivery and before installation.
If your item arrives damaged or faulty:

Notify us within 48 hours of delivery

Provide clear photographs of the product and packaging

Email details to info@oakdoorsdirect.co.uk
We will assess the issue and arrange a replacement, repair, or refund where appropriate.
This does not affect your statutory rights.
Important Installation Notice
Please do not book a joiner, carpenter, or installer until your goods have been delivered and fully inspected.
Oak Doors Direct cannot be held responsible for installation costs, delays, or cancelled appointments.
Your Right to Cancel
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods.
To exercise this right, you must notify us within this period.
Cancellations Before Dispatch
As our orders are processed quickly with our suppliers, cancellations must be requested as soon as possible.

Orders cancelled shortly after being placed can usually be cancelled free of charge

Where an order has already entered processing, we may make a deduction of up to 10% from your refund
This reflects costs incurred, including:

Payment processing fees

Supplier handling or restocking charges

Administrative costs
Returns (Change of Mind)
If you cancel your order within 14 days of delivery:

You must return the goods within 14 days of notifying us

Items must be unused, uninstalled, and in original packaging
Customers are responsible for return delivery costs unless the item is faulty.
Due to the size and weight of internal doors, return costs may be significant and should be considered before ordering.
Deductions From Refunds
We may reduce your refund where:

The order has already entered processing and costs have been incurred (up to 10%)

The item shows signs of use, installation, or damage

The item is not returned in its original condition
No deductions will be made where no costs have been incurred.
Non-Returnable Items
The right to cancel does not apply to:

Made-to-order or customised products

Items that have been installed, trimmed, or altered

Items damaged after delivery
Refunds
Once returned goods are received and inspected:

Refunds will be issued to your original payment method

Please allow 5–10 working days for processing
Delivery charges are refundable only where required by law (for example, faulty goods or full order cancellation).
Safe Place Deliveries
If you request delivery to a safe place, this is done at your own risk.
Once delivery has been completed as instructed, responsibility for the goods passes to you.
