Terms of Service
Last Updated: August 2026
Welcome to Oak Doors Direct. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website and the purchase of products from Oak Doors Direct.
By accessing our website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms.
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under applicable UK consumer law.
1. General Conditions
By using our website, you agree that:
- You will use our website only for lawful purposes.
- Information you provide when placing an order will be accurate and complete.
- You will not misuse our website or interfere with its operation.
- You will not attempt unauthorised access to our systems or introduce malicious software.
- You will not copy, reproduce, distribute or commercially exploit our website content without our prior written permission.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order where fraud, misuse, payment problems or another legitimate reason is reasonably suspected.
2. Products & Services
We make every reasonable effort to ensure that product descriptions, images, specifications, prices and availability displayed on our website are accurate.
Due to differences in screen settings and the natural characteristics of timber and wood-based products, colours, grain patterns and finishes may vary from the images shown.
Product availability is subject to stock availability.
We may update product information, specifications, pricing or availability when necessary. Any such change will not retrospectively alter the price of an order that has already been accepted by us.
3. Pricing
All prices displayed on our website are in Pounds Sterling (GBP £).
Any applicable delivery charges will be displayed or otherwise clearly communicated before payment is completed.
Prices displayed on the website may change from time to time. Price changes apply to future orders and do not alter the agreed price of an order that has already been accepted.
If an obvious pricing error is identified after an order is placed, we will contact you before proceeding with the affected order.
4. Orders
When placing an order, you must provide accurate billing, contact and delivery information.
An automated order-confirmation email confirms that we have received your order. It does not necessarily mean that your order has been accepted for fulfilment.
We may be unable to accept or fulfil an order because of circumstances including:
- Product unavailability
- An obvious pricing or product-information error
- Payment problems
- Suspected fraud
- Delivery restrictions
- Other legitimate circumstances preventing fulfilment
If we are unable to fulfil an order for which payment has already been taken, we will arrange an appropriate refund.
5. Delivery
We currently deliver to eligible addresses within the United Kingdom, subject to the delivery areas, charges and conditions set out in our Shipping Policy.
Most orders are delivered within 3–5 working days, but in some cases delivery may take up to 8 working days.
In some circumstances, including remote-area deliveries, supplier availability, courier disruption, severe weather or unusually busy periods, delivery may take longer.
We will provide order and delivery information where available.
For current delivery times, charges, remote-area information and other delivery conditions, please refer to our Shipping Policy.
6. Payments
We accept the payment methods displayed during checkout.
Payment must be successfully authorised before an order can be processed.
Payment information is handled through the secure payment services made available through our online store.
7. Returns, Cancellations & Refunds
Eligible online purchases may be cancelled in accordance with our Refund & Return Policy and applicable UK consumer law.
For eligible distance-sale purchases, you normally have 14 days from receiving your order to tell us that you wish to cancel.
After notifying us of an eligible cancellation, you should return the goods within the applicable return period stated in our Refund & Return Policy.
Approved refunds will be returned to the original payment method.
We normally process approved refunds within 5–7 business days, although statutory refund deadlines and your bank or payment provider's processing times may also apply.
For full information about cancellations, returns, return costs, damaged goods, exclusions and refunds, please refer to our Refund & Return Policy.
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights.
This now reflects the basic UK distance-selling cancellation framework more accurately.
8. Consumer Rights
Nothing contained in these Terms limits or excludes any statutory rights or remedies that you are entitled to under UK consumer law.
Depending on the circumstances, customers may have legal rights relating to goods that are faulty, damaged, not as described or not fit for purpose.
These rights are separate from any additional manufacturer warranty or guarantee that may apply.
9. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, content available through this website, including logos, images, product descriptions, graphics, text, icons and website design, is owned by or licensed for use by Oak Doors Direct.
You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute or commercially exploit website content without prior permission, except where permitted by law.
10. Accuracy of Information
We make reasonable efforts to keep information on our website accurate and up to date.
Occasional errors may occur. Where an error is identified, we may correct or update the relevant information.
If an error materially affects an order that you have already placed, we will contact you where appropriate.
11. Events Outside Our Reasonable Control
We are not responsible for a delay or failure to perform an obligation where that delay or failure is caused by circumstances genuinely outside our reasonable control.
These circumstances may include severe weather, courier disruption, transportation problems, public emergencies or significant supply-chain disruption.
Where such circumstances affect your order, we will make reasonable efforts to keep you informed and to minimise the effect of the disruption.
Nothing in this section limits or excludes your statutory consumer rights or any liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded.
This is much safer than simply saying you aren't liable for courier or supply-chain delays. CMA guidance says consumer terms should not broadly remove a trader's responsibility when things go wrong.
12. Privacy
Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy.
Please refer to the Privacy Policy for information about how personal information is collected, used and protected.
13. Third-Party Links
Our website may contain links to third-party websites or services.
We are not responsible for the content, availability or privacy practices of independently operated third-party websites.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to our website, business practices or applicable requirements.
The latest version will be published on this page together with the date it was last updated.
Changes will not retrospectively remove statutory rights or alter contractual rights that have already arisen under an accepted order.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Nothing in these Terms removes any rights a consumer may have regarding where legal proceedings may be brought under applicable law.
